HOME.

Isn’t she beautiful? Check out this animated photo I made of the downtown Cincinnati skyline. 

I think being out on the Ohio River last night, with Amy, Lola, Sofia and Nico — and seeing THIS VIEW for the first time in a LONG time — it finally hit me.

We’re HOME. ❤️

SO MUCH has happened since we left the Greater Cincinnati area nearly 10 years ago.

In that time, we’ve grown a LOT — personally, professionally, and literally — as a family of FIVE.

We’ve come a LONG way since I proposed to that spunky little blonde girl on WLWT (who totally thought she was coming on live TV to promote her new online publication…) 藍

“Home” really is more than just “where you live.” It’s a state of mind. A state of being — together. Central Ohio was our first family “home.” Short North was “home.” Pickerington and Violet Township were “home.” Even our adjoining hotel rooms in downtown Columbus were “home” while our old house was being rebuilt.

In each place, we grew. Together.

I feel so incredibly blessed to be back in the little corner of the world that helped shape who I am today — and look forward to exploring OUR new “home” in Greendale (where the motto is, literally, “Never GiveUp”) and watching OUR children fall in love with everything that makes the Greater Cincinnati area HOME. ❤️
