The crowd might’ve been a little smaller this year, thanks to the pandemic — but we still got to dress up and rock out at Horsepower Farm in Middletown, Ohio!
I’ve had the honor of being a a part of every Cincinnati area Bone Bash since the beginning. I emceed the very first one — held at the Bell Event Centre in downtown Cincinnati. My dad and I sat in with the band that year — and we’ve played every single Bone Bash since then, with our band Snidely Whiplash.
Despite the ongoing pandemic, the 15th event went on this year without a hitch — at Horsepower Farm in Middletown, Ohio.
Even though this year’s event was smaller than years past, we still had an amazing time raising money and awareness for the Arthritis Foundation — and the costumes did not disappoint! This year, me and the boys in Snidely Whiplash went as “biker dudes” 😜🤘 Amy dressed up as a scarecrow, and our friends Chris O’Brien and Janeen Coyle from WGRR-FM emceed the evening dressed as professional bull riders. 🤣 Oh — and my sister and her husband won best costumes as Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio! ⚾️
The evening’s honoree was longtime friend and Arthritis Foundation supporter Jon Lawhead — SVP of Sinclair Broadcasting — who joined us on drums for a couple of songs!! 🥁
It was such a great night — and I was so thankful to FINALLY have the opportunity to play LIVE MUSIC with the guys again, for the first time since last year!
